EcoCart Replacement RO Membrane

This is the replacement 40 inch reverse osmosis membrane for the HydroSphere EcoCart.

How do you know when you need to replacement the RO membrane?

You'll replace the carbon and DI filters several times before the RO membrane should need any attention as long as you properly maintain and store your Pure Water system. But if you're starting to use up the DI resin quicker, this may be a sign that it's time to change the RO membrane.

It's easy to test the RO membrane and find out for sure:

• Test the water coming out of the tap. This is your baseline.
• Test the water coming out of the brush, after the DI filter. This should always be between 0 and 10 for spot free windows. If it's higher, than the carbon and DI filter should both be changed.
• Test the water coming out after the RO membrane. The RO should do 80-90% of the filtering. For example, If the tap is 200 TDS, it should be around 20-40 TDS after the RO. If the RO is doing less, it's time to change it too.
